Record 26 Dobie students make Region Band
Two students got Honorable Mention

A record 26 Dobie students auditioned and qualified for the Region XI Middle School Band. Two more students also received a district patch (Honorable Mention). The auditions were held November 4.
“We are very proud of these students. It takes a lot of dedication and practice to make it this far,” said Mr. William Daniel, Dobie Head Band Director.
The Region Band Clinic and Concert will be Friday and Saturday, December 1 and 2 at Edison HS.
Hailey Davis, 8th grader, plays the trombone. She made 4th chair in the Honor Region Band. “I was excited,” she said. “I practiced at least 90 minutes every week plus all of the in band practices. It was worth it!”
The district patch recipients are: Hailey Cleggett and Julian Stewart.
The region band students are:
- flute – Leah Biache
- clarinet – Zechariah Hernandez, Jessika Kraus, Bennett Daniel, Jazmin Mascorro, Stephanie Rivera and Lily Martin
- bass clarinet – Samuel Williams
- bassoon – Alexia Barrera
- alto sax – Jasmine Chapman and Kyle Ho
- tenor sax – Rhianna Roberts
- trumpet – Kiana Young, Kristina Kukleryte and Ashton Estrada
- horn – Kiran Sprout, Natasha Ledum and Kara Loomis
- trombone – Hailey Davis, Joshua Dugger and Hannah Graham
- bariton – Ali Al-Araibi and Gracie Deason
- tuba – Emelia Volante
- percussion – Selah Flores and Chloe Williamson
