Movie Review: John Carpenters Halloween remains cutting edge

Aidiana Hernandez, Staff Reporter

There was always this silly Halloween story my mom used to tell all of my family and friends from when I was little, so now am I am going to share it with you.

One dark night when I used to live in San Diego, California with my mom and dad, who was stationed in the Marines, he was always out working late and this night it was just my mom and I. Mind you, I was about 3 years old, and we were watching Halloween featuring the one and only Michael Myers. If you don’t know who he is, he is a guy that wears a black jumpsuit and a white mask with frilly brown hair.

Michael Myers is a guy who kills anyone, just for fun. Super creepy, am I right?

While my mom and I were watching the movie it was raining and thunder storming outside and my mom already wanted to go to bed. But I did not, I was sitting up, my face so close to the television because I was so interested.

She almost turned off the TV and I screamed at her and told her to not turn it off. Till this day, every 30th of October my mom and I watch that movie and now I am always the one who wants to go to sleep first, but I promise, next year i’ll scare the life out of her and make her want to go to sleep first.
