Thanksgiving season is right around the corner, so I think it’s time for us all to give thanks to those who thank us. I am thankful to many of the people in my life, but even though they may not be listed here, you still are very important to me.

First up is my parents. They are very supportive of me in anything I do. Whether it be school, theatre, or sports, they always tell me to do my best and never give up. They always appreciate me for who I am and never mistreat me. You can’t have a parent that gives you whatever you want, and that’s one of the qualities I like about them. They make it so I have to earn the things I get. They teach me about things I’ll need later in life. Overall, I appreciate my parents more than you think I do.

Next up is my dog, Montego. He is a mix between a Miniature Pinscher and a Terrier. He is the best dog in the world. He always gets excited when I get home from school. Whenever I have a bad day or I am sad, he always comes to me and tries to make me feel better. He may be an annoyance in some rare occasions, but he always listens and (most of the time) does not misbehave. At the end of the day, he’s a welcome addition to my family.

Third of all, I am thankful for my awesome group of friends which includes Reese Evans, Seamus Brady, Adyn Janes, Jalen Stamps, Nicholas Kissinger, Lane Pence, and Vaun Natalroman. Lunch is always wild with them around, though this doesn’t happen without the odd looks coming from students and some teachers. We always can talk to each other about things, whether it be common teen drama or personal things. These are not my only friends, but these are the ones I see the most. All in all, I am thankful that i have such a wonderful group of friends.

Lastly, I guess I am thankful for my wonderful life. I recognize that kids all around the world don’t even have a place to live, and that I am very fortunate that I have all these things. I am thankful that I have a family that loves and supports me, a wonderful pet to love, and a great group of friends who I have so much in common with. I hope that this Thanksgiving, you appreciate all the things you have in life and thank the people close to you.
