Thanksgiving; Giving My Thanks By: Kaitlyn Baker.
November 17, 2017
Hi! I’m Kaitlyn Baker, a 7th grader, at Dobie jr. High. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and you can’t spell Thanksgiving without the thanks.
There are a lot of things to be thankful for such as your birth, your mom, and your dad. I’m not saying I’m not thankful for these things, but to me these are not the most important things to be thankful for.
To me the most important thing to be thankful for is God. My family is very religious, so I believe that God created all forms of life. I enjoy praying to God because it gives me a sense of safety in the world.
I’m also thankful for my family. My mom and dad work so hard to provide for 3 children. My brothers also help my parents raise me by helping me with my homework when my dad is busy.
One of the last things i’m most thankful for is Friends. They Sort of “raise” me when i’m at school. I find safety in knowing that my friends will always be there for me even in the darkest of times. I know that they will always come back to me even if we argue or fight. Most of my friends accept the fact that i obsess over Shadowhunters 24/7.
I hope that everyone has something to be thankful for this thanksgiving. Im also thankful for everyone who ever tried to do something to change their life or someone else’s .
Thank you all for spending a minute of your time to care about my opinion of thanksgiving.
