Personal view:What I’m thankful for

JaChona Owen, Staff Reporter

The first thing I am thankful for is being able to have the freedom I have today. If I didn’t, I don’t know what my life would be like. Honestly, I wouldn’t want to imagine what my life would be like without freedom. At the same time I feel bad for the people that don’t have freedom like I do today. I would want to let those people have a chance at freedom too.

The second thing I am thankful for is all people that have served for our country. I’m thankful for those soldiers who were injured in battle and for the soldiers that have lost their lives. I’m sorry for the soldiers’ families, who have lost their loved ones. I hope those soldiers are in their peaceful place. I thank them for fighting to keep our freedom and peace.

The third thing I am thankful for is all the food I have. I am lucky that I am able to have food every day. I want the people that don’t have enough money for food to be able to every day, but especially on Thanksgiving. That is why I am trying to go to a homeless center and help the hungry on Thanksgiving day. Everybody should have a chance to eat something and have a chance to be healthy.

The last thing I am thankful for is my family. I am thankful to have a roof over my head. I love that I have a loving family at home. I also have loving aunts and uncles. I would be really sad if I didn’t have a family to love, talk to, and mess with. I hope all of the kids, babies, or teenagers out in the world have a home. I hope they have a family to love even if it’s their biological family or not.

To me every person that has food, a family, and a house should be grateful. There are many people out in the world that don’t have all the things most of us have. Taking things for granted that other people don’t have is wrong. Then bragging about it to people is also really wrong, in my opinion.

These are all of the things I am grateful for. Plus the bonus paragraph I added at the end of my view. I am very thankful for all of the things I have mentioned up above.
