Personal View; What I Am Thankful For

Kenzie Hudson, Staff Reporter

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It’s all about family and food, my two favorite things. I get to go and spend time with my family, while eating my favorite foods. I love the feeling of humbleness and thankfulness it brings. One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is going to Hobby Lobby and already seeing a whole bunch of Christmas Trees.

This year I’m thankful for lots of things. I am so thankful for the new friends I’ve made and got closer to, my family that does everything for me, my new cat, Nugget, all the amazing opportunities I have, and all the unforgettable memories I have made.

I can’t wait for Thursday. My family and I are going to give food to those who can’t afford a Thanksgiving dinner or who are homeless. Then we’re all going to go to my grandma’s house and have our dinner there. We always have turkey, ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet tea, Hawaiian Rolls, and my grandma’s awesome deviled eggs. The food is definitely the best thing about Thanksgiving.

2017 has been a wonderful year for me. I’ve gotten close with my friends, made memories with my family, and have been happy with myself. I’ve also discovered a lot about the things I can do and have gotten a better grip on my future.
