Personal View: What I Am Thankful For
November 29, 2017
I am Kayla Looney and I am here to write about what I am thankful for. Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks and appreciate all you have. To some people think it is just about the food but it is a lot more than that. You enjoy family and friends and everything you take for granted.
I am thankful for many things. One of those things is my amazing friends Serenity, Billie and Emma. They have been my friends ever since I moved here last year. I am very lucky to meet people who care so much about me and each other. They have made such a big impact on my life even though I have only known them for a year and a half.
Another thing I am thankful for is my house. My house is a mess all the time but it provides shelter and makes sure my family and I are not on the streets. I’m also thankful for the clothes I have. My clothes provide protection from the weather and if I didn’t have them, I would probably live an awful life.
The food I have on my plate everyday is also something I am thankful for. I am glad that my mom cooks so I can eat it. I am also thankful for our free education system. Some people can’t get into a school because they have to pay but they don’t have money for it.
Another thing I am thankful for is my family. They can be really annoying most of the time, but I still love them. They are all a huge bunch of really weird people, but they help me get through hard times like when I am stressed. When I am down, my dad will tell a dad joke that are so stupid, I have to laugh.
I am thankful for my opportunity to travel and learn about the world. I move around a lot and my family drives to places a lot. It is a very good opportunity because you get to learn about the language and culture of the people and places around.
Something else I am thankful for is all of my amazing things like my bed, toys, books, and my own room. All of my things are things that I do not need, but I was thankful enough to have and get. There are a lot of things we take for granted and we are not thankful for.
