Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday because you can recognize the things you are thankful for. Other holidays are usually about getting things for yourself like Christmas, Easter, etc, but this holiday is all about thanking the people you love and cherishing the stuff that you have.

To start off, I’m very thankful for my wonderful family. They raised me as I am today, and helped me make good decisions. I also love my family because they support all the things I do. My dad shows me how to stay strong in hard situations and when I’m stressed I can always talk to my mom and she helps me go through it.

I’m also thankful for all of the food I get. My mom makes healthy and delicious food and my dad is great at making stir fry. A Chinese dish. I feel like my mom won’t believe this but I’m actually thankful that she’s a dietitian because she helps me eat healthier.

Another thing I’m thankful for is the education I get. I’m glad that I get to go to school (shocking) because it will help me in the future when I go to college and for when I become an adult. Some kids do not get the education they need so it’s hard for them to get good jobs when they are older.

Lastly I’m thankful for all of the friends I have. Usually it’s harder for me to make friends because I’m a bit shy but I do have many friends here. It helps that I have lived in a lot of states so I’m a bit used to making friends.

All in all, I’m still thankful for many more things just I can’t think of them off the top of my head. I’m really excited for this Thanksgiving and happy for the long break.
