Personal View: My Thanksgiving Traditions

November 30, 2017
Every Thanksgiving, me and my family go to my aunt’s house to eat and celebrate the holidays. The day before Thanksgiving my family and I take family photos for Fall or Christmas. I’m very thankful for my big, loving family. My cousin, sister and I are very close, but sadly we don’t see each other too often, we try to but everybody gets busy. Of course I see my sister everyday and I’m very thankful for that. My dad is a truck driver, so I barley see him at home. Luckily he made it to the Thanksgiving dinner, I didn’t eat with everyone else. I waited for my dad and when he showed up I made him a plate of course then I sat with him and talked about the holidays and such.
I’ve never really been too much of a fan of Thanksgiving food, first of all I don’t eat much, so that makes my appetite pretty picky, but none the less I’m very thankful for my family and it’s traditions. One dish that I love and will always love is pecan pie! That stuff is so good!
My family and I are pretty close. Every year we do Thanksgiving at my aunt’s house then Christmas at my house. Right before the great night came to an end we all gathered around the table and picked our secret santas, I got my sister Aleighna, but shhhh it’s a secret.
I’m also thankful for the things that I have, I have an IPhone, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, and more I can’t even get started with. I am very fortunate to have all the things I do, sure I’m pretty spoiled but I don’t have to be. I will always love what I have and what I am am given. I am thankful for everything. Happy Thanksgiving!
