Thanksgiving break was November 20th-24th, but for me it was November 20th-December 1st. My family and I drove 14 hours all the way to Tennessee. We had a total of three Thanksgivings. We had one with my Grannie, one with my Granna, and one with my Gramps.
We stayed in our old house that we used live in. My little brother and I stayed with my Gramps for the first few days, so we could spend more time with them. When we had to go back to our old house it was still really fun. We rode around on four-wheelers on the back property.
Our first Thanksgiving was at my granny’s house. We all lined up to get some of my granny’s delicious homemade food, and sat down and watched some of the football game. We had to eventually leave and go to my granna’s house for her Thanksgiving.
At my Granna’s house, not only did we celebrate Thanksgiving, but also my cousin Baylor’s birthday. Right before we sat down to eat we all stood in a circle and went around saying what we were thankful for. I was thankful to be able to see all of them and have each and everyone of them in my life.
It started to get really late, so we all said our goodbyes and got in the car. I went with my gramps, gram and aunt Emily to the Opry Land Hotel. It was so pretty with all the lights outside and the inside was even prettier. Me and my aunt Emily took a lot of pictures and had lots of fun.
On Saturday, we had our last Thanksgiving with my gramps. We had it at our old house and everybody contributed to the Thanksgiving dinner. We all enjoyed each other’s company and had a lot of fun. On Friday we had breakfast really early with my aunt Emily and gramps, and afterwards we made our long, 14 hour trip back to Texas.
