There are many things I’m thankful for: friends, family, clothes, food, education…However there is one thing that stands out to me the most, the obstacles in my life.
I’m thankful for these because they essentially make me stronger. In the moment they seem extremely overwhelming, but once you’ve overcome them, they just feel like a tiny step you have to take to get to your goal. I personally believe that everything in your life happens for a reason, and that nothing is impossible. You’re never put up against tasks that you can’t pass but sometimes you give up because you feel like they’re too difficult.
In my eyes, I’m very lucky to have as few problems as I have; it could be a lot worse. Although I struggle with quite a bit of stuff, I see it all as the things you have to do to get to where you want to be.
Another thing that I’m grateful for, is my education. Even though school isn’t the most fun place, I get to learn things that I otherwise wouldn’t know. I’m one of the lucky people that gets a quality education which helps ensure a bright future, if you try hard. There are millions of children (and working adults) who have not, or do not, have access to an education. Although many students complain about coming to school, they should probably show a bit more gratitude towards the source that will help them in the future.
If you didn’t have a good enough education to get a good job, you’d probably end up homeless and poor, out on the streets. Education is a very useful thing, thus the gratitude towards it.
I’ve moved quite a few times and I’m also really thankful for the experiences I’ve had and the people I’ve met. It’s a very overwhelming experience, but as I stated before, I believe everything happens for a reason and you can get through pretty much anything if you put your mind to the task.
