Personal View: Bus riders waiting in their classroom
February 15, 2018
I ride the bus everyday and I just can’t get used to how we are released. Most teachers are now making their students wait in the classroom for their bus to be called. The reason for this may be because of students wandering the halls and inappropriate behavior. My locker is all the way upstairs and my 8th period class is outside in the portables.
So when my bus is called I literally have to run to my locker and out to the bus area if I want to catch a seat before they’re all taken. I can’t talk to my friends in the hallways either. The last time I did that I was late for my bus and I had to call my dad to pick me up.Some people may not think it’s a big deal because, their locker is downstairs and some may be frustrated and don’t want to be running across the entire campus just to get to their locker and to the buses.
I know I may seem like i’m making a big deal out of nothing but, I am 50% lazy and because of that I really don’t feel like running to my locker. Especially at the end of the day. I’ve tried numerous ways to get to my locker faster but, they were all a dead end. There are a couple of people like me who have to practically sprint to their bus if they don’t want to miss it. I liked sitting in the cafeteria waiting for my bus all the while having crazy conversations with my friends.I am not a fan of the new release for bus riders and that’s a fact.
