Super Bowl LII is just around the corner

January 18, 2018
As Super Bowl LII is coming up, the NFL season is coming to an end. NFL stands for National Football League. The Super Bowl is the championship game for the NFL. The first Super Bowl was held January 15, 1967.
As of now, the teams that will make up the Super Bowl have not been determined yet. According to Sports Illustrated, they predict that the the Patriots will be in the Super Bowl. There is a split decision on whether the Vikings or the Eagles will be the other team.
Mariah Biache, 7th, says, “I would like to see the Eagles win their first Super Bowl this year.”
Lelia Johnson, 8th, says “I want the Eagles to win, because I am tired of seeing the Patriots winning.”
Super Bowl LII will be held February 4, 2018 at the U.S Bank Stadium, located in Minneapolis. This will be the second time Minneapolis will host the Super Bowl, but this is the first time it will be at the U.S Bank Stadium.
This year’s halftime show will feature Justin Timberlake. According to Independent News, it will be hard to top Lady Gaga’s performance the year before. Last year’s halftime show came real close to the most viewed halftime show in history, which featured Katy Perry.
The Patriots have won 5 Super Bowls. The Eagles, however, have not won a Super Bowl, but they won 3 National Titles before the AFL (American Football League) and the NFL merged. The Vikings have won one National Championship, again, before the merge.
What team will take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy for Super Bowl LII?
