Wake up, go to school, come home, go to modeling practice for 2 hours a day, 4 days a week. Some people may misconstrue modeling for something easy, just to sit there and look pretty, but it is much harder than it actually sounds. Through everything, my mom always reminds me to stay humble.

I started modeling at the age of 10. Ever since I was really young I always looked up and admired lots of models and designers. My mom worked with a friend that had a sister that had a lot of organizations for modeling. My moms friend had suggested it to my mom for me and my mom, of course, said yes.

That first modeling event I was in was called Fiesta fierce. That is what started it all. I met a designer with the name of Nicole Campbell and she was with a boutique named Kalliope Kids. After I met her, my career launched off. I felt very blessed to be apart of everything.

I had done some acting and other print work but that is not what I wanted to pursue. I did sometimes get picked on for having a ‘job’ at the age of 12 but it was something I have always wanted to do. Whenever I had any struggles I gave it to God, this was his plan for me and he was always by my side in everything. I always had amazing friends to support me through everything, like my best friends today Mona Casas and Lauren Gray.

I have been all around Texas and it’s a really fun experience and a good bonding time with my mom. She bends over backwards and forwards for me, each and every day. 24/7. With casting calls, emails, callbacks, phone calls from agents that are interested in me and being on Facebook looking for girls for certain photo shoots & fashion shows. Being a model takes lots of practice and commitment. I wanted to quit dance, something I have been doing for 8 years, to focus all my attention on something I love. “Commitment is the glue that bonds you to your goals.” Always remember that.
