Fortnite Battle Royale, a game designed by Darren Sugg, and developed by Epic Games, (along with People Can Fly) has been shared all across the world by millions of people everywhere.

The game was originally released on July 25th 2015. So, why are we just now hearing about it in 2018? Well the world didn’t pay much attention to it until the game became mobile. You can now play fortnite on your mobile device, and you can take the game anywhere you go.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a competitive shooter game between 100 players as they air-drop out of a moving plane or “battle bus”. You then fight to survive with only a map to find all of your weapons, and a pickaxe, which is best used to harvest building materials from trees, cars and other objects.

We asked students around school about how often they play Fortnite. 8th grader Haden Crain states, “I play Fortnite almost everyday. I found out about it on my own by looking through the App store for games to play.” You can either play fortnite with friends or you can play solo.

Haden Crain and Evan Bylsma state that the best Fortnite tips are to not text or call during the game. Also to survive, stay outside of the circle and stay where there are less people. To get most kills you have to be in a really big populated area, and stay towards the center but you may get killed faster than you want.

Most people play because they are bored but many play for fun. 7th grader Jaden Milburn stated, “I play because it is fun thing for competition with friends.” 8th grader Evan Bylsma also stated, “ I only play because it is addicting.” Fortnite is a very addicting game and if you don’t play your cards right you could lose.
