St. patricks day is worldwide celebration! It’s a fun celebration, you have to wear green on this day or you could get pinched. St. Patricks day is on March 17th every year because it’s the day of the Patrick festival. St. Patrick day is an Irish celebration and it got out to everyone. Now the celebration is a worldwide celebration. St. Patricks day is celebrated more than any other Festival in the world.
St. Patricks day is based off a Irish patron saint from Ireland and ever since he died, March 17th has been his day to be remembered.Patrick was captured and enslaved at age 16 by Irish marauders.
Other names for St. Patrick’s day are Feast of Saint Patrick, Patrick’s Day and La Fheile Padraig. St. Patrick’s day celebrators wear green because Leprechaun’s can’t see green so if they don’t see you, you don’t get pinched. Sarah Jorge says St. Patrick’s day is “ amazing.”
Saint Patrick was born in Roman-Britain into a wealthy family. His father was a deacon and his grandfather was a priest in the christian church. At age 16 he was kidnapped, where he found god as he worked as a sheppard. After he found his way back, he became a priest just like his grandfather.
Saint Patrick spent his life evangelising the northern half of Ireland. He converted thousands of his efforts against the druids which he tried to drive out of Ireland. He died on March 17, which is why we celebrate on this day. In the centuries that followed, many legends would surround patrick and he would become Ireland’s most famous saint.
Jacob Coppage celebrates this holiday by wearing green and eats green eggs and ham for breakfast. He likes to celebrate this cause” he looks good in green and there is many different things to do.
