Mrs. Hecox is my favorite teacher because she makes learning fun and you can tell she really loves her students. She makes learning math not as stressful as it used to be for me, and I don’t hate math as much as I used to. Instead she has made it one of my favorite subjects to learn!

In the past I had really bad teachers who weren’t very good at teaching or were very grouchy and made it very hard to learn. I started to get behind in Math and I started hating it. I always dreaded going because I knew wouldn’t understand it. I thought about going to tutoring, but I didn’t even want to go to class.

When I came into Mrs.Hecox’s class in the beginning of the year she was happy and nice to everyone. She told us that we would wonderful this year and have lots of fun! She also told us throughout the entire year how much she loved and cared for us. She loves to have fun in class and she understands how we feel.

Thank you Mrs. Hecox For being the wonderful teacher you are and for caring about me! If it weren’t for you I don’t think I would like math enough to care about passing STAAR. You’ve changed my mind completely on math ,and I hope next year my next math teacher will be as wonderful as you are!
