August 28, 2018
Football season is about to start! Tryouts were the second week of school. The players are excited to start this season. Football takes a lot of commitment and hard work. The Dobie football team demonstrates that everyday at practice and as well as at the games.
Martin Trevino, 8th grade A team football player, shared his thoughts on this year’s season. “ I’m ready to smack these teams. I feel confident with this season because our whole A team is made up of great athletes,” said by Martin Trevino.
Gabriel Gonzales, 8th grader, is confident and ready for the new season. “ I think that our team is prepared and we’re ready to take on anything in our path. I think both A and B team will go undefeated this year.” Both students feel confident about this season and seem to be ready to win.
The first 8th grade game will be on September 8th at Metzger and the first 7th grade game is also on September 8th, but at Dobie.

Joseph Estabillo, 7th grader, tried out for the team. “Tryouts were hard because there was a lot of conditioning. We had to run laps as well. I think we will win district because all the banners up already give me confidence we can win too,” he said.
