Dear Editor,
Journalism is extremely important in our world. The world wouldn’t be the same without journalists. We wouldn’t know everything that is going on in our world. Our jobs as journalists are to inform the people of our world and share our views on events. We publish our own articles and stories. Many people rely on media to know what’s going on in the world. We read newspapers, magazines, articles online, and so much more. If we didn’t have journalists, we wouldn’t have any of those things.
President Trump has spread the world that “media is the enemy of the people” and we are all “fake news.” Sometimes we make mistakes, but we fix them as soon as we can. Journalists don’t try to harm anyone. We just state facts and inform the people.
In the U.S. Constitution, it states that we have the freedom of press. As an American, you have the right to read what you want, write what you think, and publish what you believe. All of Americans also have freedom of speech. We have the right to express our opinions without any restraint. With these rights, journalists can express their opinions and publish them.
