PV: The Importance of our Veterans
Our flags flying high during Dobie’s Veterans assembly.
November 12, 2018
Veterans day is a day where we honor our soldiers, who fight for us. This day is to show them just how much we appreciate them. They do so much for us, the least we could do is give them a day. A day to show them that we haven’t forgotten about them, that we’re grateful for their sacrifice, and for their dedication.
Everyday they are out there, preparing for battle and training. It’s not an easy task, there is a lot of work and dedication put into being a soldier.
There are five branches of military, they are, Air Force, Army ,Coast Guard, Marine Courts and Navy. The Air Force is, military in the sky. They fight battles from the air, they have high class fighter jets. The Army is, a military force equipped to fight on land. They fight our battles from the ground.
They have fighter vehicles and very powerful guns. They go to war and they fight them from the ground, they have to carry around heavy guns and shoot at the enemy to keep our flag waving. Then there’s the Coast Guard. Which is, responsible for the enforcement of maritime law and for the protection of life and property at sea. In time of war, or at the direction of the president, the Coast Guard serves as part of the US Navy.
Marine Courts is, responsible for conducting expeditionary and amphibious operations with the United States Navy as well as the Army and Air Force. Last but not least, is the Navy. Which is, responsible for conducting expeditionary and amphibious operations with the United States Navy as well as the Army and Air Force.
They fight from the sea, they have HUGE ships that hold ammunition, and they have landing strips that aircraft’s can land on. All of these branches of military help in one way or another to keep our flag waving and to keep us in a free life. They insure our freedom. To keep us safe from the other places.
