Veterans Day is important because I grew up with my uncle never being home for his kids. Then he retired and ever since then his kids have been so happy that they get to see him. When he was deployed he ended up seeing a lot of bad things and now he  has PTSD ( post traumatic stress disorder ). That has changed his life around and every veterans day all of us(his family) get to tell him how proud we are and how thankful we are about him being here to fight for our freedom.

I know that this is one of the most important holiday for a lot of families who have lost people to war and my family is so thankful for all of our freedoms. Veterans day is so important to our history and till this day is the most respected holiday. Anybody that lives in the United States should respect this holiday because the veterans fight for our freedom and safety.
