Veterans Day is important to celebrate for military families they might have someone they want to remember.The ones who are still alive we honor thanking them for there service putting our lives before there’s.
A lot of people died in the wars sacrificing their lives for us and we should be glad we get a day to thank them and remember what they did for us. There are kids that don’t even know what veterans day means and what it should mean to them. Being in the military u should be honored and thanked for what you are doing for our country.
Nov. 11,1938 was the first time this holiday was celebrated. The original name was Armistice Day and was changed to Veterans Day in 1954. President Dwight D. Eisenhower was the one who changed it to Veterans Day. 16.1 million living veterans served at least one war.
