My family consists of my dad, mom, my sister, my brother and me. My dad and sister are medical service officers in the U.S Army’s Medical Service Corps. They are the ones that lead medics into the battlefield along with all the medical supplies the Army doctors and medics will need.
Being in a military family is fun because you get to see a lot of new places and make new friends. I was born in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and after a year I moved to Virginia for a few months while my dad went to school. Then we moved to California for two years, then to Texas for another two years, then we were off to the Pentagon and lived in Alexandria, Virginia for three years and then we were back to Texas again.
I love being in a military family because you meet so many different people and it inspires me to do my best. Whenever your in a military family , you meet many people and make lots of friends. I still am not sure of what I want to be when I’m older, but there is many I have in mind including the Army.
Being in a military family makes me stronger in many ways. It reminds me that I have lots of support from my family. When you’re in the military or specifically the Army you have to move to lots of new places. Because we didn’t know anyone around us, we had each other. Being in a military family makes me emotionally stronger as well because you have to leave your friends behind, but you eventually get over it and make new friends.
Being in a military family has taught me many things from meeting new people to my feelings about moving. I’m very thankful and blessed to be in a military family with a strong and supportive father and older sister.
