In Good Morning America they got 10 girls, from Northern California, to do the Social Media Detox Challenge. The challenge is that they have to go two weeks without any Social Media. In the video when they gave up social media the girls said they slept better and got in fewer arguments with their parents.
I don’t have Social Media but I know a lot of people that do. If I did have it I think that I would be able to do the challenge. I think I would be on my phone a lot more if I did have social media. When people get on there phones to do some kind of social media it makes me feel left out because there looking on something when I don’t know what they are talking about.
Social media has its ups and downs. A con is that you can lose track of time and can’t get it back. One of the biggest cons are cyberbullying. It is easier to bully people on social media than it is to do it in person. Another con is stalking people. If you have social media you can stalk people. It’s really creepy and because of that reason I am happy I don’t have social media. A pro is that you can reconnect with your old friends or family members.
Another pro is that you know what’s going on in the world. It is important to know what is going on in the world. Social media is super popular today. 77% of the USA has social media. Social media is so popular but you have to use it right.
