Mrs. Behnsch was my seventh grade College and Career class teacher. She helped my plan out my future; before her class I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grow up.
I also got the opportunity to go on the STEM field trip. She was the teacher sponsor on that trip. I am so grateful for being able to go, because I got to learn so much more about career opportunities in manufacturing. I also had lots of fun with my friends.
In her class I not only learned more college and career opportunities, but also more about technology. Most activities we would do would be on the computer, so I learned a lot how to use one. This is important because the world is going digital.
Mrs. Behnsch would give handshakes to everyone as they walked into the door. This made me feel welcome to the classroom. Every other Friday she would do drawings for candy. You got your name in the drawing by working hard or behaving good. The drawing was extra motivation to do my very best.
Sometimes we would get ZAP days where we could work on homework for another class or read a book. This really helped me because with the stress of all of my classes it was helpful to get a day to catch up on everything, and maybe get a chance to get some homework done so I could have time to relax at home.
I appreciate Mrs. Behnsch because she cared about her work. She puts effort into it and tried very hard to make the material we were learning easy to understand. I really learned a lot in her class and by the end of the year I had a good understanding of what the future has to offer. I know what I want to be when I grow up, and have a plan to achieve it.
