Coach Adams is one of my favorite teachers/coaches here at Dobie because of all the things she has done for me. She has helped me talked me through hard times, been there for me, coached my volleyball team, and so much more. I love her dearly and I’m so grateful for everything she has done for me.

I first met Coach Adams during the summer at a volleyball camp that was held at Steele. She was introduced as a new coach at Dobie. When the volleyball season started she was my coach for B team. We all had so much fun and loved having her for a coach. We were already growing close in a span of 5 days

At our last volleyball game I had a panic attack during the 3rd match. She couldn’t talk to me though because she had to coach our team, but the A team coach, Coach Dierschke, helped me through it. The next day Coach Adams talked to me to make sure I was ok. She told me that she understands the struggle and I can always go talk to her whenever I feel like it.

Then a couple of weeks later, I had another panic attack during athletics. I ran to her unable to speak because I as choking on my own air. She took me outside and sat down with me. She eventually calmed me down and was able to talk to me. We talked about how it’s perfectly normal for these things to happen and that there’s nothing wrong with me.

I’m so lucky to have her for a coach. I love coach Adams with all my heart and I will always remember her and all the things she has done for me. I feel so happy and grateful that I had Coach Adams as my coach. It’s sad that this school year is almost halfway over, and only have a few more months with her. I will miss her so much when I leave Dobie.
