PV about the best Dobie Bus Driver: Gary

One staff member I’m grateful for is my bus driver, Gary. Gary is the bus driver of bus 237, which goes around my neighborhood. My sister Clara and I have the second-to-last bus stop, so we get home at around 4:20.

As a result, we get to spend a lot of time with Gary. Gary is always on time, drives safely and smoothly, and he always keeps everyone on the bus in check at the same time.  We get to school and our homes safely because Gary is very talented and skilled at his job.

Every once in a while, we will bring him small gifts such as Jelly Beans or Cookies, and it makes the sun shine to see his smile upon receiving the gift. Gary himself always wears a hat, has a good attitude, and always greets the students when they get on or leave the bus.

Gary is almost always on time within a two or three minute time-span, and when he isn’t, he is early, despite the weather. He arrives at my stop in the morning at 7:37, and picks us up at school around 3:40. Even if armageddon arrived, with blizzards, tornadoes, and vampires, he would be waiting for us outside, and on time.

One of the smoothest, if not, the smoothest bus driver, Gary always drives very safely and smoothly, which no other bus driver could do on our bus. Because of his talent, when there is a replacement bus (which is often), he still masters the controls and drives normally, despite the differences.

The kids in the back do the craziest stuff, including making fun of the things he says. How mean of them. Yet, he doesn’t even flinch, he just takes it like he was Chuck Norris taking a punch. If they aren’t behaving, he stops the bus and waits for them to stop.

Gary is always on time, drives safely and smoothly, and he always keeps everyone on the bus in check at the same time. Quite the wonder he is. I’m grateful for the safety he provides, and without him, things would be a lot different.
