22 suicide soldiers: are you up to the challenge?
People all over America have been doing 22 push ups in honor of the 22 soldiers who commit suicide everyday, started by the veteran empower group Honor Courage Commitment, they call it the #ShowUsYour22. The push up challenge is raising awareness and donations.
According to the National Alliance to End Veteran Suicide, 20-22 Veterans per day die from suicide. The alliance believes that to end veteran suicide, society must work on the focus areas of education, research, resource provision, and community collaborations.
Gold medal winning swimmers Simone Manuel and Michael Phelps did the challenge. They were challenged by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who also did the challenge.
Some students at Dobie Junior High School say they are not up to the challenge, but some say they are.
