Cibolo Fest is a community event that features bands, local performers, food and craft vendors, a carnival, petting zoo, a car show, and much more. This year’s Cibolo Fest will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 10am to 10pm according to Cibolo Fest website.
Olivia Perdue, 8th grader, said she has been to Cibolo Fest four times in the past. “The food is my favorite part — especially the funnel cake,” she said. “I don’t normally eat it and it is just a good sweet trip.”
Many Dobie students say that they are excited for the Cibolo Fest. Dobie 7th grader Madison Gastol who has experianced the Cibolo Fest many times says “The Cibolo Fest helps bring Cibolo citizens together.” she said
Some vendors who are listed on the Cibolo Fest website as vendors this year are Santikos Entertainment, McGarrell Orthodontist, and Cibolo Small Animal Hospital. The vendors will have games, prizes, and items to purchase. In addition there is a variety of food trucks and ice cold beverages.
The carnival will feature rides, games, and jumpy houses to enjoy, all you need is a wristband or tickets that you can purchase there. Some carnival attractions are the Fun House, giant swings, and games such as ring toss.
Cibolo Fest attendees will be able to see baby chicks at the petting zoo along with other small farm animals. Near the petting zoo, they can also ride a horse or pony.
Dobie 7th grader Amy Sample said she has gone to Cibolo Fest every year. “My favorite thing to do is watch the baby chicks,” she said.
At the Cibolo City Hall there is a silent auction that includes cool donated items like board games, candy, toys, and much more. These awesome items are all up for grabs, if people are willing to bid on them
The car show includes many cars that are from your favorite movies along with character themed and old-fashioned cars.
Kaitlin O’Brien, 8th grader, just moved to Cibolo this past summer and says she has never been to Cibolo Fest. “But I heard it was very successful,” she said.
