Restaurant Review: 54th Street is delicious

Restaurant Review: 54th Street is delicious

When people go out to eat, they usually just go get some fast food like Burger King or McDonalds, or maybe Chili’s or Applebee’s. Now, there isn’t anything wrong with those restaurants, but they are all chain restaurants. I don’t really know about other people, but I love it when you can get something in one place, and that place only. Now this is technically a chain restaurant, but it’s only in the San Antonio – Austin area.

Now this restaurant’s menu has quite a lot of good food, but my preference is the chicken tenders. As a matter of fact, I got my mom to order 54th Street just for this review! The delivery time was pretty good, even though half of that depends on Grubhub/UberEats, I assume it was because they got the food done very fast. Another notable thing is that they didn’t get a single thing wrong with my family’s order, and everyone was satisfied that they got what they actually ordered, unlike when we ordered Taco Bell.

When I opened the glistening styrofoam box, I was barraged with smells that made my mouth water and my stomach rumble with hunger. I took a bite of one of the chicken tenders, and my mouth was overjoyed with all of the different spices and flavors put into the tenders, definitely a 9/10, as at some points there was a little too much breading. The fries were also pretty good, with myself giving them a 8/10, because they were delicious, but they were slightly soggy when they arrived. The salt and seasoning made up for that, however. Nonetheless the work of spices and flavours on all of the dishes from the cooks definitely stole the show here. Despite the food, the drinks were nothing special, just being normal Cokes and Dr. Peppers and such, still pretty good though.

From what I’d experience with this restaurant I’d give it a 9/10 for a great taste, and a pretty good quality, definitely in my top 10 favorite restaurants, but not the best I’ve had. I definitely suggest this restaurant to anyone who wants to sit back and watch a favorite movie, as it definitely reminds me of a comfort food kind of restaurant. Kind of like Cracker Barrel, but if they specialized in burgers and beer.
