On May 20th, 2021, Nurse Marsha Mudge received the Norma J. Paschal Commitment to Children award and was recognized as Nurse of the Year. 

The Norma J paschal commitment to children award is the highest honor the district gives to district staff. 

“I was in total and utter shock,” Mudge explained. “I was just amazed. I can’t believe I was honored in such a prestigious way. It means more to me than anyone can ever know because I worked really hard and to feel that other people see that is just a very amazing feeling.”

Nurse Mudge has been in the nursing field for fifteen years and has been a dedicated member of the Dobie JH team for two years. She aspired to get into the medical field and succeeded. She went on to nursing school and ended up enjoying being a nurse and all of the opportunities it offered.
