Since the beginning of the school year, the Dobie Cross Country team has been working hard to reach a common goal: improving from last year, the “year of ups and downs.” 

“We grew every meet,” Coach Adams said. “I was pumped on how we grew from the beginning of the year.”

Every year the team comes up with a new team slogan based on how the season was. #Witness was the team’s hashtag for this season.

 “After coming back from the year of letdowns and cancellations, this was gonna be the year,” said Adams.

This year, these athletes have been working hard to beat their record times from last year’s season. Based on what Coach Adams said, the athletes have grown from last year.

“I think I grew a lot from barely being able to do an 800 meter to doing three miles without walking,” said Antwon Audrey, 8. 

The Dobie Cross Country team has worked hard and learned from all the experiences of the year and is ready to do it again when track season starts up.
