All Hallows Eve
Halloween night is the one night a year that kids can go around in costumes, take candy from strangers and go home. “Trick or Treat” comes from an old phrase meaning when a door is opened to ask for treats with the implied threat of playing tricks on those who refuse. That’s the joy of Halloween!
Andrew Gonzales, 8th grader, says his favorite part of Halloween is watching scary movies and eating candy. Gonzales says his favorite candy is Skittles and his favorite horror movie is Scream.
For some, candy is the best part of Halloween. A whole night of getting tasty sweets it’s a dream come true for all kids alike. It’s not the best for parents though having to take care of kids on a sugar high. But for some, it’s not all about the candy.
“My favorite part of Halloween is seeing all the cool costumes,” says Ta’Mia Stewart, 8th grader.
Costumes are a great way for kids to express their creativity. Whether it’s cosplays, bed sheets, or even trash bags. It’s all up to what you want to do
“I saw someone dressed as a snake this year but THEY HAD A REAL SNAKE ON THEIR SHOULDERS!” said Sadee Keshman, 8th grader.
There are many cool and great things about Halloween. The candy, movies or just hanging out with friends. Now that this year is over, I can’t wait to prepare for next year.
