A Batty Situation

A+Batty+Situation

On March 23, 2022, during a regular day at D lunch, a student looked up and saw a bat flying near the upstairs A wing and then pointed it out to several people. Our three assistant principals, Mr. Jackson, Mrs. Silva, and Mrs. Hughes, and our secretary, Ms. Almarez jumped into action and took care of the situation. They have caught the bat with a long net and a bucket and have put him back in his habitat. Foot traffic was diverted from the staircase during the passing period between lunch and Cougar Time to avoid student-bat interaction. It is still unknown how the bat got into the building in the first place. Thankfully, no one was hurt and the bat is okay.
