Music has been one of those things in everyday life; you use it and hear it everywhere. It’s something that you need to power you up and make you feel better when you’re down, helps you get back up, gives you a smile on your face. Music is a human need, emotionally and physically, you should get to use it anywhere, and not have any restrictions on what to hear or where to hear it. Students should be able to listen to their music during study hall.
You can easily remember the lyrics of a song. What if you use that advantage for your school work? When you are doing something that involves music you are using your both your left and right side of your brain.Music to me means something special and everyone typically asks “Can we listen to our phones?” when we are working silently.
There is nothing wrong with listening to music to help you focus, but people believe what they believe.Students should be able to enjoy their music during study hall without any restrictions except you need to use your headphones.“Music engages the brain over a period a time,he said, and the process of listening to music could be a way that the brain sharpens its ability to anticipate events and sustain attention,” Stanford’s Medicine, Mitzi Baker said.
You know how people say if you hear classical music, you become more intellectual,Well hearing your favorite type of music helps you with your memory performance. Students remember things that they are interested in and most don’t remember their academic assignments, or what is the subject on that class. Some teachers put a song to make us remember, and it has worked for me at least. ” There is evidence that listening to any music that is personally enjoyable–be it Mozart or Madonna–can aid memory performance and concentration while studying,” said ValuEd’s Julia Selby Smith.
Music helps me a lot, even when I’m nervous. I randomly start humming a tune,or tapping my feet to a beat. Usually the night before a big test, like STAAR, I listen to music to calm me down. Students should be able to study with their music, and not get in trouble for it,believe me, my parents get mad me for doing homework, while listening to music, but I figured it has been helping me out.
I ignore all the distractions at home, which includes my little brother and my mom practicing for his next test and he just screams and cries saying he doesn’t want to practice. ” Music is found to help people perform better in high-pressure situations, such as the bi-annual event that is finals week.Studies have shown that music can help students transform from coal to diamonds, shining under pressure,” according to Florida National University.
Listening to music isn’t bad at all. If you want to study, use music it will help you. Music is something special, and works for all of us. Music helps us with our emotions, our lives, and even our schoolwork, when we stress we go to the sweet sound of music. Students should be able to listen to their music during the study hall.
