“A look back at history shows that women have made great strides in the fight for equality, including women’s suffrage and inroads in equal opportunity in the workplace and education.” ACLU said. This is true because women have been treated as minorities for as long as we can remember. Even though women are majority based on population.

Some women and men protest this in marches. The most recent one was in December called Women’s March. Even celebrities went there such as Misha Collins and his family and also Katy Perry went.

“Women still make just 78 cents for every dollar earned by men. Black women earn only 64 cents and Latinas only 54 cents for each dollar earned by white men.”ACLU said. This means that women still aren’t treated equally even though it is 2017. “I think women should have the same rights as men because we all are human,” Axel Reyes 8th grade, said.

Women’s rights is a problem that women all over the world have battled since the beginning of time. As Reyes said, women should have the same rights as men.
