Do you enjoy shows with lots of drama and suspense? If you do, you should start watching The Foster. It’s about Stef Foster and Lena Adams, a lesbian couple that has a family of foster kids. Mariana and Jesus are adopted 15 year old twins,but Jesus deals with ADHD but doesn’t always take his pills and Brandon is Stef’s 16 year old biological son from a previous marriage that’s very gifted playing the piano.

 

Everything is going normal in the house,  until Stef and Lena take in Callie and Jude. In Callie and Jude’s last foster home, they were abused by their foster dad. And because of that Callie tends to act out and cause trouble.

 

The show takes place in  San Diego,but it’s filmed in Los Angeles,the school that the kids attend is located by a beach and Lena Adams,one of the moms, is their principle and their other mom Stef Adams a dedicated police officer at the local station, works with her divorced husband Mike. Stef and Mike still stay in touch even after their divorce because of their son Brandon, who lives with both of them from time to time.

 

  The Fosters airs every Tuesday nights at 8 pm ET/PT on Freeform. ”I just started binge watching it, and now I watch it every Tuesday” said Abbie Travis, 8th grader.You can catch up on the last 5 seasons on Netflix and all new shows start on January 31.The show first aired in 2013, season 1 is all about the family drama Callie and Jude caused.Throughout the seasons the family learns to love Callie and Jude and think of them as part of the family even though they may cause many problems for the family.
The show also earned GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2014,Teen Choice Award for Choice TV Breakout Show in 2013, and TCA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Youth Programming in 2014 and 2015.
