Personal View: ‘The Flash’ is interesting superhero show
Barry Allen poses in his Flash uniform in front of Central City. The Flash has kept the city safe (on t.v. of course) since 2014.

Bartholomew (Barry) Allen, (acted out by Grant Gustin) a Central City police forensic scientist who suffered the childhood trauma of his mother being killed and his father being framed, is struck by lightning while in his office at the station during a freak particle accelerator accident.
Nine months after, Barry wakes up to find he has super speed, a power gained from the particle accelerator accident. Others gained powers as well, but most don’t use them for good so Barry made it his duty to save Central City. Barry Allen is Flash and he helps keep his city safe and fight crime.
The first episode, Pilot, aired October 2, 2014 on The CW Network. The excellent cast includes Danielle Panabaker who plays Caitlin Snow (Killer Frost), Candice Patton who plays Iris West-Allen, Tom Cavanagh who plays Dr. Harrison Wells (Reverse-Flash), Carlos Valdes who plays Cisco Ramon (Vibe, Pablo, Reverb), and Jesse L. Martin who plays Detective Joe West.
“The Flash”, first released in 2014 (still continuing), is an entertaining show that has caused a lot of good uproar in the DC Comics fan base because of its realistic characters, and fantastic mix of drama and action.
“It’s a good show because it has a lot of story line behind it, it’s entertaining, and it’s a nerdy show,” said Aidan Sinclair, 8th grader.
The main character, Flash or Barry Allen, is usually the most loved but some have different opinions.
“I can’t honestly choose one (a favorite character). I love them all and making me choose is like making me choose my favorite Black Veil Brides song,” said Elisa Paredez, 7th grader.
Like Paredez, I can’t choose a favorite character for the life of me but I can definitely choose a character I dislike the most.
Most people have a great hatred for Dr. Harrison Wells and Zoom. I, on the other hand, disliked a female character–Iris West-Allen–because she was just like every other female character in a show like this. She was always in the way of death even when the other characters, such as her father or Flash, would tell her to stay out of the way.
“I hated Zoom because he would pop out at the most annoying moments,” said Lance Weissmann, 8th grader.
Many people love the show. There are many great things about it such as the time put into it, the action, and the great plot. There are many things people would change about the show, though, like season length or shortening the time between seasons.
“It’s so suspenseful during season breaks because they leave you on a cliffhanger,” said Sinclair.
Despite the few things that could be changed, The Flash is an amazing show and is very worth watching.
