On September 10, 2009 a new series called “The Vampire Diaries” created by Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson came out on Netflix, the series started out with one season then gradually started to build up until there were eight seasons. Each season has between 16 to 22 episodes with forty-five minute episodes.

The Vampire Diaries is a series based on a close knitted group of friends. Some are vampires while others are wolves, witches, vampire hunters and hybrids. Some of the most important characters are Stefan played by Paul Wesley, Elena played by Nina Dobrev, Damon played by Ian Somerhalder, and Bonnie played by Kat Graham. All of the characters are interesting, powerful and unique. New characters are introduced into the series every season with new problems, ideas, and powers.

Vampire Diaries is a great show to watch when you’re bored or even just ready for a new adventure to watch. The show never has boring parts to it, it gives you cliffhangers and every episode is amazing to watch.

The series is a five star rated show with many good reviews and many people of all ages watch it all over the world. “ I like Vampire Diaries because I love supernatural characters and drama and suspense,” said Anissa Warren, 7th grader.

“ I like Vampire Diaries because it’s suspenseful and funny and overall a good plot and I love how there’s many seasons,” said Zoe Gallegos, 7th grader.
