Many Dobie students watch a famous Netflix show, Grey’s Anatomy. One of the best shows made on Netflix, it has 13 seasons and is still running on air since 2005. Grey’s Anatomy is a show about a surgical intern who works in a hospital and has to deal with medical and life all together filled with drama.
“Grey’s Anatomy is an interesting show to watch because it’s dramatic and filled with mixed relationships,” said Kaitlyn Henderson, 8th grader.
This show is ABC’s highest rated drama and placed third best worldwide, according to ABC. The series was created to be a racially diverse cast. It revolves around the title character Dr. Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo.
“I like this show because there’s a minimal story line, and you could learn so much in the show,” said Madison Cook, 7th grader. You could learn a whole lot watching this show, and many people watch it to learn or for the relationships in the show.
I’ve watched this show myself, and I learned facts that at one point I even wanted to be a surgeon. Grey’s Anatomy focuses on the fictional lives of surgical interns, residents and attending physicians, as they evolve into seasoned doctors while trying to maintain personal lives and relationships.
“Meredith Grey is my favorite character because of how she takes on life and I could always relate to her and she’s the main one,” said Cook.
The dramatic show isn’t just about relationships and surgery. Watching this show gives you life advice, and depth to a high rated show. Shonda Rhimes, the series creator who also casted as the role of Cristina Yang, wanted to make a show she enjoyed watching. She pointed out that medical shows are hard, and it was hard trying to figure out where Grey’s Anatomy could be different. She found a way to slow it down, so you get to know the characters.
Grey’s Anatomy is definitely a show everyone should watch and enjoy. The storyline is perfect, and every detail is played by the characters. With plot twists around every corner, it’s a binge watch for sure!
