Dobie football teams have been working hard to prepare for the 2017-2018 season. Their first scrimmage is September 13 against sister school Corbett Jr. High.

Julian Cousins, 8th grader, plays for A team. “I’m super excited for this season because we have a great team and amazing coaches,” says Cousins.

Coach Driffill says he likes working with the boys and getting them ready for high school football. “The boys will have a great year,” he said. “I’m looking forward to a good season and everything is looking up this year. We have good kids and great coaches.”

Giovanni Cavazos, 7th grader, plays receiver and corner. “My favorite thing about football here is the discipline we get,” says Giovanni Cavazos. “All the coaches are great, but I would have to say one my favorites is Coach Lancaster, he is fun, but still knows how to make us work,” says Giovanni Cavozas.

Both 7th and 8th graders enjoy having friends on the team.  “We get to build new friendships and have a brotherhood that won’t be broken for a long time,” says Nick Burrows Jr. Nick is an 8th grader here at Dobie and is on B team.
