My name is Nevaeh Riojas, I am a 7th grader attending Dobie Junior High, and I would have to say the first week I was here was scary, but exciting.

Coming to this school for the first time was scary, because I didn’t have many friends in my classes. It’s always been hard for me to make friends.

So as you can guess, I was super excited for lunch because one, I love food, and two, saw some of my friends from my old school.

After lunch I had saw a lot more of my friends and now that it’s the second week I can say with so much pride that I love this school.

The teachers for team 7-1 are all superb and nice, and other teachers that are super nice are Mrs. P.J., who is the journalism teacher, and Mrs. Adame, who is the college and career readiness teacher. I think that the school year will just get more fun from here.

So many good things can come from a new school. For example, you can meet new people, make new friends, and learn new things. Over all the things that a new school has to offer are limitless, if you make it. I was told school is how you make it out to be.

If you look at it in a bad way it could be the worst year ever, but if you look at it in a positive way it could be the best school year ever. Like I said, it depends on how you look at it.

When coming to this school I wasn’t looking at it positively, so it was a bad week. The second week is when I looked at things positively and it turned out much better than the last.

Always look at things in a good way it may help you out in so many way, and make sure to study and keep up with grades. If you do, there are so many fun things in store for you.
