Shoes are very important. They protect your feet and make a fashion statement. Some students like heels but many dress for comfort and style. At Dobie, there are many shoe trends, but one thing is clear: students love all kinds of shoes.

Jaliyaa Brown, 7th grader, says her favorite shoes are Vans. “ I shop for my shoes online it’s way easier. What I look for in a shoe is that it has to be something comfortable,” she said, adding that said she got her inspiration from her brother. “I first saw my brother with those shoes and it inspired me to buy them and from there on, I fell in love with them.”

Brown said she enjoys shopping for shoes. “The last time I bought a pair of shoes was in this past summer. The most I’ve paid for shoes is more than $150. Honestly, I would rate my shoes a 9.5 since I have way more shoes that I like more that the ones I own,” she said.

Samarah Sandoval, 7th grader, says her favorite shoes are Vans and Converse. “I usually shop them online.What I look for in a shoe it that it has to be something cute and with style,” Sandoval said.

Sandoval says that she got her inspiration from Musical.ly star Loren Gray. “Loren Gray gave me the inspiration to buy my kinds of shoes. The last pair of shoes I bought was two days ago and they were about $150. I would rate my shoes a 9,” she said.

Max Belbin, 7th grader, says that his favorite kinds of shoes are New Balance. “I shop the at the cheapest place possible. My shoes have to compliment my white feet,” Belbin said. 

Belbin last bought his shoes during the summer. “They cost about $75 or less. No one really inspired me to buy the shoes, I just saw them and I liked them and bought them. I would rate those shoes a 10; they are my favorites.”

Camryn Farganus, 8th grader, says her favorite shoe brand is Adidas. “I like them because they have a good quality, solid colors and because of how comfortable they are,”  says Farganus. “The last time I bought a pair of shoes was two weeks ago at the mall. I usually spend about $50 on my shoes,” she said, adding that her inspiration for shoes is Drake.

Carolina León, 8th grader said that her favorite shoe brands are Converse and Adidas. She likes to shop at Journey. “I look for my hi the color and design”, Carolina mentioned. She said that she spends about $100 on her shoes. “The last time I bought a pair of shoes was August 20,” she said.

Erynn Sanders, 8th grader, says that her favorite shoe brands are Vans, Adidas, and Nike. She shops at the San Marcos Outlet. “I look for the shoes to be comfortable and stylish,” Sanders said. She said she gets her shoe style inspiration from sister and she usually spends $90 on her shoes.
