On Wednesday, March 26th, the track team made their way to the East Central track meet. Ready to face their competition, they began warmups getting their bodies nice and stretched. In an effort to avoid the storm, the 2400 started early. Halfway through the run, the storm beat them to the finish line and caused the meet to be canceled. “I was looking forward to trying to get a PR [personal record],” eighth grader Ayden Housley said. “Being able to see our team win again would have been great.” Although the rain stopped them, they are preparing to come back harder than ever at the next meet. “I’m looking forward to seeing everyone run,” athletics Coach Adams said. “I love seeing everyone work hard.”

NOTHING’S GOING TO WORK UNLESS YOU DO
Eighth graders Kyndall Rosinski and Jianna Gonzales rest and recover after putting in the work in their fifth-period athletics class. With the next track meet coming up, they must push themselves to their limits. No matter how hard it gets, these girls continue to push themselves to be the best they can be.
